Intro To Mindfulness

Welcome to Lesson One, Intro Into Mindfulness!


  • Do you ever feel angry and you don’t know why?
  • Do you struggle with focusing (especially in school)?
  • Do you ever feel bored?


I feel like that too at times.

Mindfulness is something that has helped me work through these things. 


What do you think of when you think of mindfulness?


Mindfulness can help us:

  • understanding ourselves
  • be more at peace
  • knowing our feelings
  • being more connected to the present moment
  • and bring awareness of ourselves and our surroundings


When we are mindful, we aren't thinking about past or future and we aren't worrying about what happened before or what will happen.


Mindfulness is a great centering tool to help us be more happy.


Exercise 1: Being Mindful

Grab a timer and set it for 1 minute. Close your eyes and notice what you hear. (Make sure you actually do this exercise)


Awesome! Now, do it again, this time, close your eyes and notice what you feel.


Exercise 2: Tea Meditation

Go make yourself a cup of tea and sit down with it to follow along with the next video ⬇️⬇️⬇️.

Mindfulness is about noticing and harnessing a sense of peace. Mindfulness isn’t about lack of thought, it’s observing your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings without judgement or expectation.


Mindfulness helps us know what we need in the moment such as: food, someone to talk to, exercise, rest, etc. 


Mindful Movement is also a big thing we need to practice to be mindful. So go ahead and follow along with the next video below and try to notice how your body feels. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
